I really wish that my parents hadn't been so mean to me. They didn't let me do ANYTHING when I was a kid. No dance lessons, no gymnastics, NOTHING. I got forced into swimming lessons and piano lessons, but whenever it came to things that I wanted to do, they ALWAYS said no. Finally, when I was twelve and hadn't begged for dance lessons in years, my mother - out of NOWHERE - said "Oh, I suppose you could take dance now." Right. I'll just start in the 7th grade. It won't look at all odd at the recital when standing in the middle of a group of five- and six-year-olds. Consequently, I never really got GOOD at anything. I sucked at the violin, since I didn't take it up until age eleven and then only had group lessons at school. I never got to be any good at skating because I didn't start that until 8th grade (but they had an adult class, and no recital-like things, so it was slightly less embarrassing). Aargh.

Yeah. I just got home from my cousin's dance recital. I'm a little bitter.
